Waco: The Rules of Engagement
Residents of Waco started seeing cameras in their neighborhoods on a regular basis when Chip and Joanna Gaines began filming the hit show Fixer Upper for HGTV. The cameras are still rolling for the Gaines’s but home renovations aren’t the only thing worth filming in Waco.
The City of Waco is certified by the Texas Film Commission as a Film Friendly community. There are dozens of areas in and around the city featuring many interesting places to film your next movie or television show. From the Brazos River to the large college campus of Baylor University. From a bustling downtown that could stand-in as any small or mid-sized city in the USA, to the Cameron Park Zoo. The historic Waco Suspension Bridge, rough and paved hiking and biking trails, Lake Waco, the Bosque River, large indoor and outdoor music venues, museums, parks, sports facilities, festivals, a whiskey distillery, ranches and much more. They all offer movies and TV shows, excellent backgrounds for any film.
