If you like to get out and have fun you’ll find plenty of entertainment options in Waco. Baylor University tops the list with its school of music featuring performances from symphonic to jazz and much more. Of course, Baylor has an active theater department.

The visual arts are alive and well in Waco from the Homestead Craft Village, to the Art Forum, to the Kieran-Sistrunk Fine Arts Gallery and Wandering Artisans Boutique as well as other galleries. Back at Baylor University you’ll find the Martin Museum of Art and the Mayborn Museum full of history and even a historic village. And don’t forget the Waco Mammoth National Monument, site of the only known herd of mammoth fossils.

Brazos Theatre

There’s the Brazos Theatre that presents a variety of live performance programming from dinner theatres to staged readings and monthly improv comedy. Waco has a Choral Society, a Christian Youth Theater, the Waco Hippodrome Theatre and the Jubilee Theatre featuring a variety of performances.

Dr. Pepper Museum

The City is the birthplace of Dr Pepper and there is a museum that features one of the finest collections of soft drink memorabilia in the United States. Waco is home to  the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum and the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.

Cameron Park Zoo

Located high above the banks of the Brazos River, just outside of downtown, Waco is the Cameron Park Zoo with over 1,700 species of animals from around the world.

Magnolia Market

In downtown Waco you’ll find the now famous Magnolia Market at the Silo’s where there are many things to keep both adults and kids entertained. Want to see how scotch whiskey is made? Check out a tour of the Balcones Distillery in downtown.

Plenty of Festivities

You’ll find music to suit all taste at venues all over Waco with country and Texas Blues being two of the top favorites. And, there are numerous festivals in Waco throughout the year, such as Brazos Nights, Art on Elm the Fourth of July Celebration on the Brazos River, the Texas Food Truck Showdown, a wine festival, film festival, a rodeo, an air show, the Homestead Fair and many more.

Top Golf
